Sr. Analytics Engineer

OVERVIEW

We are currently searching for a skilled professional to join a well-known client’s team as a Senior Analytics Engineer in Buffalo Grove, Illinois. This role will be partnering with a team of front-end software engineers to recommend and implement optimal approaches of data capture for downstream data platforms, analytics, and decision engines. Their work will have a direct impact on the organization and the larger clinical industry, making this an amazing career opportunity.

EXPERIENCE

  • Demonstrated prior experience in ecommerce/online retail environment required
  • Good knowledge of A/B testing concepts and tools required
  • Strong proficiency with JS frameworks like vue.js, and CICD implementation practices, as well as with agile methodologies and practices required
  • Detailed experience executing and writing regression test cases in automated quality assurance tools required
  • Extensive knowledge of Google Analytics, Enhanced Ecommerce, and the Google Marketing Platform ecosystem required
  • Excellent expertise with configuring and maintaining Tag Management Systems like Google Tag Manager, utilizing the data layer, and SGTM required
  • Strong working knowledge and understanding of JavaScript, JSON, jQuery, REGEX, DOM operations, HTML, and CSS required
  • Demonstrated experience with validating the quality of web analytics capture and data using appropriate techniques/tools including automated solutions
  • Extensive SQL skills and experience with cloud environments such as GCP or AWS required
  • Good awareness of present-day industry trends and technical challenges in digital analytics and digital marketing

EDUCATION

  • Minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree required

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Collaborate with key technology and business stakeholders such as analytics, data science, marketing, product, software engineering, and data engineering to define an optimal tagging strategy for new or existing features
  • Implement data collection for Google Analytics, 3rd party, and internal downstream platforms using Google Tag Manager to leverage existing web application architecture
  • Engage with software engineers and collaborate on creating tagging solutions in JavaScript on client/server tag manager and application side
  • Develop, test, and deploy code in the GA360 platform ensuring streamlined and scalable code for optimal accuracy and performance
  • Interact with Quality Engineering on regression testing and CICD release process
  • Offer technical expertise to deep dive into analytics data and solve complex issues
  • Troubleshoot data collection and configuration issues, surface anomalies, and other data trends
  • Maintain and evolve specifications repository and other documentation
